Challenge

A match situation in which a player contests the ball against an opponent. This parameter is cumulative and includes a challenge for a loose ball, an aerial duel for a loose ball, a dribble, a tackle, and an attempt to tackle the opponent. It accounts for the total number of both attacking and defensive challenges. If a player commits a foul during a challenge, a lost challenge is recorded for that player, while the opponent on whom the foul is committed is recorded as having won the challenge.
